Our journey took about 8 hours which I spent staring at the darkness on the other side of the window followed by lightning above the clouds. We were greeted with some heavy rain once we landed at the Narita airport. Houses, streets, rice fields and mountains fascinated our eyes from where we were sitting during our ride from Narita to Yamagata on the Shinkansen. Japan is our second home after Indonesia, especially the Yamagata Prefecture. The mountains and temples’s region. I think Yamagata is a lot more different from other regions in Japan because of the modern yet quiet ambience which allows me to disconnect and become a part of it. I carry my old Nikon camera along with some Fuji film. The feeling behind every photograph I take, counts. I strive to capture the beauty of detail in every corner of the city, the mountains and temples during our exploration. Honestly, this kind of make us want to get lost for a while.
